Nurturing Yoga Holiday in the SOUTH OF France

Join me at this magical country Chateau, situated in the UNESCO world heritage site of the Cevennes national park in the South of France. Soak in the huge night skies filled with stars and by day immerse yourself in the epic landscape, rivers and naturally filtered pool. Cicadas can be heard from the open air yoga deck, wafting on the gentle scented breeze.

Deliciously de-stressing Yoga will help you release tension and completely refresh mind, body and spirit. If the conditions are right we may take our yoga further outside or to the poolside. Three satisfying meals a day are included, bar one mid-week day that's set aside for exploring the nearby area.  Accommodation is dotted around the ancient and extensive grounds, giving the chance for deep rest, healing and soulful connection.

One of the top 20 Yoga destinations worldwide as listed by the Observer

"It gave me everything I hoped for, and lots more. The whole experience was seamlessly organic - the peace and serenity, the acceptance and support of everyone in the group, the wonderful food that was growing all around us and magically appeared on our plates, the yoga that soothed and strengthened, comforted and challenged... and above all the generous spirit in which Julia teaches, weaving it all together in the most accessible way.  I count myself very lucky indeed."  Marilyn

Entering this tucked away venue nestled into one of the most abundant areas of France, life immediately slows down and there's a sense of deep connection with nature in all its glory.

All inclusive full board with tasty freshly prepared food from the land itself - we've tried to take care of everything so you'll be free to completely unwind.

This week is for you if you crave re-balancing a tired mind and a body in need of rest; the perfect tonic to a busy life. Peace, community, easeful movement and reconnection to your natural way of being.

The Yoga is suitable for everyone and previous groups have included complete beginners alongside experienced practitioners. Many come back year after year for the vital tonic that this precious week offers.

"Sometimes it's easy just to pick up the threads once a holiday is over, but I must admit that this time I do have surprisingly strong wishes to be back!  It seems to be a combination of so many things...but most of all the atmosphere which you generate, both with the Yoga and beyond.  It really does feel as if I've left a family somewhere!" Jenny

Whilst this is a new venue for me, here's a glimpse into the magic of Oceanlight Yoga retreats with live reviews and testimonials from previous participants, giving you a flavour of what to expect. Though the venue is different, the ethos and experience remain the same.

Advice on Covid 19 coronavirus and travel

The retreat will go ahead if it's safe to do so.  New cleaning and safety measures have been put into place to be 'Covid secure' and there's plenty of room to socially distance as necessary.  One of the huge advantages of this location is that you can choose your mode of transport - car, train or plane to nearby Nimes. Recommended routes are:

~ London Stansted to Nimes direct flight with Ryanair

- Eurostar to Paris and high speed TGV from Paris to Nimes

- Fly to Paris and then transfer to high speed TGV from Paris to Nimes

"I can't recommend it enough. This is my second visit.  Yoga on the terrace to the soundscape of the cicadas is a really special experience.  As it swimming in the pool and the river.  The energy of the place is very relaxing." Rozzie, retreat participant 2019
