What to expect
This week will help you shed tension from your mind and body, let go of stresses and strains, grow your sense of self-acceptance, courage, joy and playfulness, so you leave refreshed and peaceful with a new sense of optimism and reservoir of energy.

Your teacher for the week
All Yoga is led by Julia, who began a regular yoga practise in 1991, teaching in the UK since 2007 and internationally since 2013.
Morning sessions will softly waken the body to the day. Late afternoon sessions will ease you into the evening and include movement with deep relaxation. Julia is a spiritual teacher, who has natural empathy and healing ability. These elements underpin the yoga practice and the retreat as a whole.
Julia will provide individual attention as needed to help you find a sense of effortlessness and release. Physically, you will discover a natural softening and opening, letting go of long-held tight spots, and bring to life your body's latent knowing and strength. Mentally and spiritually, the Yoga (inspired by Vanda Scaravelli) is like a soothing bath for the soul and offers a way into deeper connection and self-love.
Enjoy your 2 Yoga sessions a day, relax by the pool or stroll in the magnificent grounds and beyond into the national park itself. This retreat centre is a truly special place to unwind and rediscover what it means to live at your natural pace. The Chateau and its land will transport you back to a time when living from the fruits of the earth was a way of life and where you can once more find a sense of being at one with nature and yourself.
With glorious tree-lined views, the Yoga shala and individual gites are warmly nestled within the gardens. Meals are tenderly created by Alison and Chris using home grown organic fruit and vegetables (fish available on request) - not only healthy, fresh and delicious, but also playing a vital role in helping to support this family and local community.
Alongside this, the soulful expansive Scaravelli inspired Yoga will meet you where you need to be met, with an invitation to drop all need to push and pull and instead open up to a natural unfurling and reintegration of your body, mind and breath throughout the week.
Yoga Space The Yoga terrace at our 'secret' Chateau makes daily Yoga pure pleasure. Surrounded by trees, the shaded terrace invites a profound sense of ease. Chirping of cicadas gives a feeling of being immersed in nature and at one with mother earth.
All equipment is provided, including mats, eye pillows, blocks, belts, bolsters and blankets.
Who should come
This week is for you if you crave re-balancing a tired mind and a body in need of rest, the perfect tonic to a busy life. It's also perfect for restoring natural order to the body and returning your whole system to its organic balance.
The Yoga is suitable for everyone and previous groups have included complete beginners alongside experienced practitioners. Many love it so much that they come back year after year.
Nothing is forced, there is space for everyone and a sense that who you are right here right now is the perfect place to be.

Non-yogaing loved ones are welcome and will find plenty to do in the area if they wish.
Flights and Transfers
The retreat excludes travel, personal insurance (a pre-requisite to booking) and transfer. Transfer can be arranged by us prior to arrival.
Flights and train are to Nimes (or Marseilles) Airport, to arrive Saturday. We recommend arriving around lunch time or mid evening to maximise shared transfer.
Flights are available from all major and many minor UK and European airports.
Weather and what to bring
The weather in June is a pleasant 25-27 degrees Celcius, dropping to around 19 degrees at night. Rain is rare and the days and nights tend to be dry and warm.
More details of what to bring will be sent on booking, but all Yoga equipment is provided (including mats, blocks, bolsters, eye pillows and cushions).
