The Yoga space
The Yoga shala at Suleyman's Garden makes our daily Yoga pure pleasure.
Resting in a secluded corner at this world-class retreat, the shaded wooden shala looks out to the sparkling sea and distant islands. Chirping of crickets and the sound of lemons falling from abundant trees provide a background of joy.
Who should come
This week is for you if you crave rebalancing a tired mind and a body in need of rest, the perfect tonic to a busy life.
The Yoga is suitable for everyone and previous groups have included complete beginners alongside experienced practitioners. Many have loved it so much they've made it an annual treat and some will be back for the fifth or even sixth year in 2019!
Nothing is forced, there is space for everyone and a sense that who you are right here right now is the perfect place to be.
What to expect
This week will help you shed tension from your mind and body, to leave you refreshed and revitalised.
There is a perfect balance of Yoga, time to relax and time to explore or chat by the pool with your new-found Yoga friends.
Those who have been away with us already know how we make a real effort to foster a warm, inclusive approach and encourage everyone to work within their own comfort on any given day.
All Yoga is led by Julia, who has been teaching internationally since 2013 and in the UK since 2007.
Morning sessions will softly waken the body to the day. Late afternoon sessions will ease you into the evening and include movement with deep relaxation.
Julia will give you lots of individual attention to help you find a sense of effortlessness and release. Physically, you will discover a natural softening and opening, letting go of long-held tight spots, and bring to life your body's latent knowing and strength.
Mentally and spiritually, the Yoga (inspired by Vanda Scaravelli) is like a soothing bath of fragrant delights!
Additional paid-for optional extras are:
Non-Yogaing partners and friends are welcome and can find plenty to do walking/running/cycling the trails, joining boat trips from Olu Deniz or for the more adventurous para-gliding over the famous Blue Lagoon.
Flights and Transfers
The holiday excludes flight, personal insurance (a pre-requisite to booking) and transfer. Transfer can be arranged by us prior to arrival.
Flights are to the popular Dalaman International Airport, to arrive Saturday. We recommend arriving around lunch time or mid evening to maximise shared transfer.
Flights are available from all major and many minor UK and European airports. NB: If you would like to share UK transport to the airport, please let us know on booking and you will be connected with others as available.
Weather and what to bring
The weather in June is a pleasant 25-27 degrees Celcius, dropping to around 19 degrees at night. Rain is rare and the days and nights tend to be dry and warm.
More details of what to bring will be sent on booking, but all Yoga equipment is provided (including mats, blocks, bolsters, eye pillows and cushions).
